  1. FWIW: If you decide to try doing this in deeper water, I would suggest: (1) Use a launch rail instead of a launch rod. You can connect multiple rails to any length required. (2) Waterproof the body of the rocket {I am not sure if you did that to this rocket or not}. Also seal the rocket body so no water seeps in past the motor, nose cone, or rail buttons {used with the launch rail}. Enough wter entry would likely throw off the center of gravity of the rocket and make it unstable.
