FWIW: "Space Station V" - the "V" is the roman numeral "5". So it's "Space Station 5".

For my fellow metric-challenged types: 500 KPH is about 310.6 MPH. {I varified that online.} 10 CENTIMETERS is about 4 INCHES. That one I already knew. I do a lot of hobby and craft work by metric, at least when millimeters and centimeters are involved. FRACTIONS HATE ME, so I HATE THEM BACK...๐ I find I can think in terms of decimals and percentages MUCH EASIER than imperial fractions.

AFAIK both the helicopter-planes and the flying wing from CAPT. AMERICA were inspired by German WWII proposed aircraft designs....

It is officially called the "Thunderbolt II", but most folks call it the "Warthog".

ย @KutWriteย >>> I did not notice when he said it. You are correct, that is NOT the nickname for the A-10.

"...the propeller governor would start surging..." THAT is definitely NOT a good thing, even on a REGULAR AIRPLANE.

FWIW: I have read that the contrarotating propellers on the Soviet/Russian TU-95 "Bear" 4-engine turboprop bomber are HORRENDOUSLY LOUD. They are designed to operate in the transonic realm, although the Bear is not intended to be fully supersonic. As to whether the Bear or the Thunderscreech would actually be LOUDER, I do not know. However, I am not aware of the Bear's prop noise ever causing seizures in ground personnel...๐

IMO, I think much of the hierarchy of the USAF has a DISTASTE for aircraft that are (1) Subsonic fighters or ground attack; (2) Do NOT have swept wings; or (3) Are primarily CLOSE AIR SUPPORT for another military service....

Increase strength, or just lose much less strength at cryogenic temperatures compared to aluminum {aluminium}?

ย @turk639ย >>> Roger that - Thanks.

ย @theophrastusbombastus8019ย >>> Did you mean "helium" or "hydrogen" tanks? Hydrogen has to be cooled to roughly twice [?] as cold {near absolute zero} to liqufy, compared to methane.

ย @theophrastusbombastus8019ย >>> Okay - ignore my previous post....

I just get a kick out of the name THUNDERSCREECH. ๐๐๐
1
FWIW: One plus for HYDROGEN is that as you begin creating an infrastructure for producing and distributing it, there will NOT just be fuel cell powered vehicles that can use it. ALL types of internal combustion engines can be modified to run on hydrogen.

FWIW: Until not too many years ago, I actually did not know EXACTLY HOW the orbiter/external tank/solid rocket boosters were all secured to the launch pad. {I eventually learned it was those explosive bolts on the boosters.}

Starhopper it designed to operate with the airflow coming from directly ahead or directly behind, not from the side.

FWIW: At about 01:02 in the video --> I first saw that video clip of the Atlas Agena D collapsing only within the last few weeks. Prior to that I had never even heard of it. I knew the Atlas required propellant tank pressurization to remain intact, but I didn't know that one actually failed ON the launchpad.

ย @kokofan50ย >>> Roger that - Thank You!

FWIW: As I was watching this video - prior to the 5:19 mark - I was thinking to myself that LOUISIANA {USA} ought to be looking at these technologies as well....
