  1. IIRC, the sister ship to the British HMS EXPLORER -- nicknamed EXPLODER -- was the HMS EXCELSIOR. It earned the nickname EXCRUCIATOR. 🤭 ALSO: The USS X-1 is {or was} on display in a museum here in the United States. {Maybe the US Navy's museum in New England.}
