  14. Regarding bottles & cans in the USA: When I was a kid -- I turned 62 in early 2023 -- I remember returning empty bottles to stores for refunds. Nowadays most<?> USA municipalities have recycling programs along with their normal trash collection programs.

  25. Regarding milk: I started drinking powdered milk decades ago when I was attending an aviation technical school. I found it was cheaper than regular milk. I could mix it as I needed it, versus having a jug of milk in the refrigerator that might go bad before I could drink it all.
