  1. FWIW: A while back I read an article/technical paper/{whatever} from the 1960s or early 1970s, written or cowritten by Francis M. Rogallo It was about the potential future uses of the flexwing/parawing he invented. ONE of those uses was for a flying submersible. There was no real detail about the design other than it was mentioned, so I do not know if there was any actual research towards a prototype or not.
