FWIW, this idea just popped into my head while watching this video, and thinking of mass extinctions: From a science fiction story/movie point of view -- such as STAR TREK: FIRST CONTACT -- if a hostile alien race wanted to wipe out humanity using time travel, all they would have to do is go back about 66 million years and DEFLECT the asteroid that struck the Earth near the modern-day Yucatan peninsula, PREVENTING the dinosaurs from becoming extinct. {DISCLAIMER: To ANY hostile alien race accessing the Earthling's internet and reading this, I ONLY mean this hypothetically and NOT as an actual course of action you should take. EVER. 😉}
