OK, I bought a kettle in Cornwall, got home several hundred miles later and found the box was empty, they had sold us the display box sealed up (genuine mistake, and it had weight due to packaging). And the kettle didn't have a memory card! Also bought a landline phone from a well-known catalogue retailer the other day, got it home, put in on to charge for 16 hours, and 3 hours in found that the pre-installed batteries weren't installed and weren't in the box.
