@Arexodius You also have to remember that the whole reason automakers keep extending oil change intervals is to comply with environmental standards. It has nothing to do with new "magic" synthetic oils with pixie dust in it. Your oil may be fine, but you will have fuel and moisture in your oil. The longer you go, the more you will have. You want to get that stuff out of your engine. For the Hemi, you should be changing your oil between 3,000-5,000 miles. 4,000 is a good compromise, 3,000 if you want the most life out of your engine. However, in climates like where this guy lives, getting over 300,000 or 400,000 miles doesn't happen very often because of rust. I live in such a climate, and have settled on 4,000 mile intervals. I think SuperTech is fine oil, and very affordable, so even at 3 or 4k intervals, it won't break the bank. It costs around $30 to change the oil in my Hemi. I can live with that.
