  2. I agree with that. What kind of weirdo does what he does in the first place? He comes from a first world country, and he gets his kicks out of going to impoverished countries like he’s visiting a zoo. Weird thing to do IMO. I won’t even vacation in countries like Mexico. Sitting on a beach sipping a cocktail while people are living in slums a few miles away is a strange thing to do.

  4. I work as a first responder in a heavily Mexican neighborhood. At the local malls and shops you can find cartel memorabilia on the shelves for sale like you would find sports memorabilia. I found this absolutely bizarre when I saw it for the first time. You realize this war is going to take a lot more than guns, there is a fundamental problem with the culture when you can buy a t shirt with a mass murderer on it and nobody thinks anything of it.

  5. They’re making as much, if not more on human trafficking. Seal the border first and you solve a good chunk of the problem. The next issue is the drug use, which the left wants to decriminalize, which in my opinion is a horrible idea. You cannot force someone to get clean, but you can remove them from the consumer base by putting them in prison. Admittedly, prison needs to do a better job of getting people clean once they’re there and also preventing drugs from getting in, but it’s hard when a lot of the guards are involved in it. The whole thing is a mess.

  6. Not sober, but have had periods lasting 2-3 years. Don’t know why I come back to it. For all you younger people, get a handle on it when you’re young. I’m 43 now and although I have time to change, I wish I had put it down in my 20s. The trade offs of alcohol are not worth it. You get a buzz that only lasts so long, then you’re stuck with all the negatives, so what do you do? Have another drink to make you feel better, and it starts all over again. I never got into drugs, alcohol has always been my weakness.
