@josephhodges9819 You think permit holders just stop training after they get their required hours? I take classes if I see one that interests me and am at the range at least twice a week. I take my permit very seriously. I don’t ever want to be involved in a shooting, ever, but if I am, I want to have the skills to make the right decisions.

@josephhodges9819 Well you’re kind of doing the same thing. Recerting once a year isn’t really that impressive, if that’s all you’re doing as a cop. Going back to the original argument, I personally wouldn’t be looking to put myself in a situation where cops are already there, but I think you underestimate how many people are trained, not to mention veterans that have potentially more knowledge and training. That’s on the individual if they want to get involved, but to automatically assume they don’t know anything is wrong.
