  1. OEM pads and rotors were insanely expensive for my Ram, so I went with aftermarket. Coated rotors (Raybestos) and Akebono pads. The key in the upper midwest is to do a proper job. Clean the hubs and brackets well. It's been 5K miles or so and they've been fantastic. Zero noise, very smooth. Slightly less stopping power than semi-metallic, so if you tow really heavy, maybe stick to semi-metallic, but for light towing/hauling and everyday driving the Akebono pads are fantastic.

  2.  @lvking8692  I just put some on my Ram last fall and they have been great. They seem very high quality to me.
