The Car Care Nut

Comments by "mplslawnguy" (@mplslawnguy3389) on "Why is The Toyota GR Corolla So Special? A Comprehensive Technical Review" video.
@MANsculinity The circuit is more like $45K, and no, it's not worth that. This is a $30K car, and nothing will change my mind. A regular Corolla Hatch should be around $20K, and with these upgrades, this thing should realistically be $30K. I refuse to buy any of this crap, not just this one, but all of them. They need to start pricing cars realistically.

@chunkybuttz844 Dealerships are independent, there's no difference between a Toyota dealership or a Ford dealership, they're all trying to make a buck, some are scummy about it, others aren't.

As far as cars, there is nothing more fun than driving a sporty ICE car with a manual transmission. EV will never capture that.

That's basically cars before they added all the technology on them. You don't have to be an expert, you just have to know how to drive a manual and know how to take corners. IMO a car should do what you want it to do, especially a car that's meant to be fun.

You will be fixing it. Turbo and high pressure fuel injection will not be as reliable as naturally aspirated and port injected. This is more of a fun weekend car, I wouldn't use it as a daily.

@Eugen-E Yes you can always find exceptions, but that doesn't make it a rule. N/A, with injectors operating at 30 psi vs Turbo with injectors working at 2000 psi, the N/A with lower pressure fuel injection is almost always going to last longer.

@Stanjara New VW's aren't good. Not many new cars are that good to be honest. Even this one, I don't see these things lasting.

I'm sure it's high quality, but there's just no way these will last that long.

@ProjectSun91 These were not made to drive on the highway doing the speed limit. What a waste if someone buys one of these and just cruises down the highway to work and back. It's meant to be driven hard.

@ProjectSun91 Yes, take care of any car you have, I don't care if it's a beater, might as well make them last as long as possible. I'm a little skeptical of the long term on these given their specs, but time will tell.
