Neither one of them are great. Comparing the two in any way doesn't bolster people's argument IMO. Saying weed is a tool for creativity is the weed telling your brain it's being creative. I've been around a lot of people that smoked, and smoked myself, and I don't find people any more creative. I think it changes your personality, and not in a good way. You don't think or say these profound things, you just think you do. Just like I predicted, it starts with weed, then eventually all drugs will be legal, like in Oregon. Let's see how that works out when you can't take your kids to the park because people are smoking meth and acting erratically. When you legalize it, you're saying it's acceptable behavior, and people are going to be open about it. More so than if it was an illegal activity.
