  10. I've read that you can replace the oil pump with a Hellcat oil pump and that helps. It's an issue of oil volume, and apparently the Hellcat oil pump delivers higher volume, and bolts right on to a Hemi.

  14.  @GFWoodchuck  Tires aren't something to skimp on, it's a safety item. It's actually THE safety item on your car as it's what contacts the road. Don't be a cheapskate when it comes to tires. Those tires are beyond worn and need to be replaced. Don't forget the age as well. I wouldn't take a tire beyond 7 or 8 years, even if it had good tread.

  20. I drove a stick for many years, but if you're in rush hour traffic 5 days a week, shifting does get kind of old after a while. I don't need to drive that many days a week anymore and would love to get another car with a stick, but there is a reason most people here don't want them anymore.

  23. There's no maintenance interval on a timing chain, so how would someone even check it? Yeah they can go bad, but the average person isn't checking their timing chain. Best you can do is make sure you're keeping up on oil changes.

  28. Scotty, my Hemi calls for 89 octane, it is recommended in the owners manual, although you can use 87. So yes, there is a reason for mid-grade.

  31. This issue with the low-mileage old Lexus, is how do we know how it was driven (or stored) over all those years. If Grandma was just driving to church and home for 17 years, that's not great.
