@Joaquin546 That is irrelevant. When Ukraine got its independence from the Soviet Union Ukrainians promissed (stated in their constitution) that Ukraine would be neutral and would never join any military block that threaten the Russian state. Ukrainians have no word and broke their promisse. Russians are making sure Ukraine go back to sanity and honor their promisse! As simple as that!

@Joaquin546 "How is Ukraine "independent" yet answer to russia?" That is a question to ask Ukrainians because the decision to accept the agreement with Russia and write Neutrality in their constitution was entirely done by Ukrainians.

@Joaquin546 "Russia has no say in the affairs of a independent country." Russia not only have a say but is determined to enforce it. Either Ukraine honors its comitments or it will (or, in fact, are) be reduced to rubble. As simple as that.

The answer to this question is the same as the question below: How Americans have authority over the sovereign decision of Cuba to allow Soviet missiles to be installed on Cuban territory? To make it easier for you to digest: National security of homeland against adversaries threat so close to home are unaceptable, will not be tolerated and will be neutralized using all means at ones disposal, including threats of invasion and nuclear attacks just like Americans did to Cuba and the Soviets during the Cuban missile crisis. Got it now?

@Joaquin546 That was not what happened. Russia moved its missiles to Cuba and the objective was to force Americans to remove their own missiles from Turkey and at the end the result was precisely that: Russia removed its missiles from Cuba and Americans had to remove theirs from Turkey. Now this war against Ukraine is for Ukrainians to honor their own writen comitment and agree with permanent neutrality. Russians will only ceasse their military operation when they achive this primary objective not before. And make no mistake, Russia will go nuclear against Ukraine to achieve their homeland security objectives!

@Joaquin546 It is irrelevant. Russians will use all means at their disposal to achieve their security objectives. The rest is how much the west is prepared to risk to assist a corrupt dysfunctional country like Ukraine that is being turned into a pile of rubble due to America's phatological ambition to cling to an unipolar world order that, in pactice, no longer exists!
