@jacobschnberg5382 "Ukraine when Ukraine gave up their A weapons a step they deeply regret now" That is pure nonsense. Soviet nukes where not controled by Ukraine. Ukraine could do nothing with them without the secret launch codes and the procedured to fire the missiles. All Ukrainians could do with them would be dismantle the missiles and use the fissile material to build dirty bombs. So it is a fantasy to believe that Ukraine had nuclear weapons, they did not. The Budapest memorandum was established in an era Ukraine was not a threat to Russia and agreed to have neutrality in their constitution. Ukraine did not keep their word and chenged their constitution, dishonoring their commitment to not join a military block to threaten Russia and intends to allow NATO troops, military bases and offensive military hardware including missiles in their territory to threaten the Russian state. That is obviously unaceptable and Russia is as legitimate to refuse to accept such a threat to their homeland as Americans refused to accept Soviet missiles installed in Cuba. What Russians are doing as we speak is to "encourage" the Ukrainians to keep the promisses they made when they signed the Bucarest Memorandum!

@captainbadger1013 "and are a match for anything Russia has" That is pure fantasy! Look at the best Western weapons burning live for everyone to see in the media all over Ukrainian soil and understand that whatever arrives has little chance to present a different scenario. Russian weapons have been underestimated from day one and most people, against their instinctive will, are understanding their mistake now. Russian aviation is far more advanced than the F16 and the Gripen, a fighter jet said to be advanced but that no one, except Brazil (which has no enemies and will likely never engage in any relevant aerial combat to test what they spent billions to purchase and that is marred in corruption suspicions since day 1), wants to buy. Both F16s and Gripens would likely burn in Ukraine as well, just like everything the West has dumped in Kiev so far!
