@TBoy1247 Once fusion is implemented, if ever, there will be no cheaper fuel in the universe and oil would be all but abandoned.

@TBoy1247 The initial cost to build the reactors will be high just like fission reactors are, but unlike fission reactors fusion reactors fuel will be the cheapest in the universe. Once established, if ever, there will no match for the operational costs. If it ever comes to fruition other forms of electricity production will be mostly abandoned.
