@bryansillman3240 Budgets help corruption but the end product seldom matches expectations. Look to the F35, americans themselves complain that only 30% of their fleet is combat ready, there are a number of problems also affecting the units sold to other nations who have more tham 50% of their fleets out of service... Still it is the most expensive piece of flying crap ever developed in america. Russians for instance can make state of the art weapons that are demolishing expensive western weapons in Ukraine at a fraction of the cost of american weaponry. Excess budgets at the wrong or incompetent hands are often a liability for the success of the project... Brains a lot more important!

@bryansillman3240 Having them is not the problem, using them appropriately is what makes the difference and that is where we see the differences.

@bryansillman3240 Sure budget is important. The use "the brains" give to it is what makes the difference. So bloated budgets that go down the drain of corruption or are wasted in projects that do not work as intended or are just canceled, as it is so common specially in America do not help. And, for those that costed billions and supposedly work, to see them in flames in Ukraine destroyed by cheap Chinese or Iranian drones must be quite a deeply frustrating feeling!
