  8.  @haskalah  They need Ukraine because cruise missiles launched from the Ukrainian border with Russia would reach Moscow in minutes flying low would only be visible just before impact. It means NATO could decapitate the Russian regime at the Kremlin along with the launch codes of the Russian nuclear deterrent. Bingo, suddenly a nuclear war could have a winner and American led NATO would waste no time and obliterate Russia out of existence before the Russians could sort out the codes and launch a retaliatory attack. They would not necessarely do it but with such capabilities Americans could extract major consessions from Russia, force them do denuclearise and be turned into a subservient poodle European style.
