Putin sent into Ukraine 190000 man for a limited military operation to "encourage" Ukraine to honor Minsk 2. Hitler sent 1.5 million man to invade and conquer Poland. That is the kind of force one needs to conquer and absorb a country the size of Ukraine. Putin perfectly knew his force was not enough to "conquer" Ukraine. Before the war the number of active service man on the Russian military was around 220 000 man. Please look for some reading before tossing such BS on the forum!

Putin's plan was to convince Washington and NATO that Minsk2 was the best way out of the crisis (Ukraine joining NATO and bringing NATO forces, bases and offensive weapons, including missiles that could reach Moscow in minutes) to the Russian border) provided for a neutral Ukraine honoring Minsk2. American led NATO made the choice of sacrificing Ukraine and its people in their plan to defeat Russia that would never accept to be ruled from Washington like Europe is.
