@伊小泽-t5d again, you think the only important thing is industry, but China's industry has also weakened. There's no reason for countries to invest in expensive Chinese manufacturing when Vietnam also has ports, and better conditions for trade. See how that works? Nobody wants to deal with Guangzhou, nobody speaks english there and we're not welcome, so there's other places.

china is the biggest loser here. they need hong kong much more than you think the west does. why? because hong kong was a trading hub, and a window to the world as an english-speaking intermediate capable of interpreting for china. now that HK is relegated to a tier3 city, its really not a surprise that China is failing to sell its EV cars and failing to meet its 5-year targets. big factory is nice, but without sales people it's utterly useless.

@伊小泽-t5d Why is China seeking a path without the US Dollar? China's prosperity came as a result of trade with the USA, undoing that will also undo China's prosperity. Beijing is trying to undermine the West's foundations by attacking the US Dollar and trying to get everyone to de-dollarize. That's fine if so, but consider that things can go back to the situation before 1972, especially when everyone in Asia is getting more hostile to the Mao/Kim-il-Sung militaristic path that Beijing is on. Neither Japan, Philippines, South-Korea, India, Mongolia like any of this, everyone is ringing the alarm bell. The territorial claims affect everyone, more than 10 countries. Are they going to go after Russia too? Vladivostok is Chinese you know... Brutally supressing Hong Kong was just a preview of what is to come. That's the message everyone got.

@dl8935 how can it get stronger when de-globalization is happening? Just read the Qiushi, everything is about decoupling China's economy from the world. the chinese are not going to buy their own products, that's silly. who are your customers, now that the anglo-saxons have been kicked out? an exports-driven economy needs orders, without that it's dead.

@hangover4833 foreign investment is going into the ASEAN region. Have you never heard of ASEAN? Canton might go its own way at some point, because its business interests are at odds with the 共产主义 of the north.
