  17. I recently worked in a place where they hired someone clearly because of their race. She was rude, bullied people, and no one felt comfortable to approach her and she was our receptionist. They wanted her to be the "face" of the organization lol

  41. I have to say I'm currently abroad on a "soft power" program on an exchange and I would say our money could be better spent or we could have better accountability measures for these programs. I'm basically in a place where they are happy to have an American but it's more for a photo opportunity not for a lasting change. I'm supposed to train teachers but they don't really care.
