  3. This is the correct take OP, this “news” peice is designed to distract people from the chinese guys observation that we dont really have freedom of speech in america. They dont throw u in jail jus for speech, but they can censor you indirectly and ruin you financially etc. elon went against the pro war narrative by suggesting not escalating, and he will be attacked, through reglatory bodies, lawsuits, smear campaigns, leverage on his children, etc etc

Sure they are not gonna arrest elon for going against the pro-escalation narrative, but they can attack him w/ smear campaign, try and entrap and blackmail him, attack him amd hia companies w reglatory bodies, cut off access to funding, etcetc. Similar to how if you or i say the wrong they we will get fired and have to live under a bridge
