How many 'game changers' has ukraine already gone through before now man? And each one they told us how great they were but now that its all falling apart the f16 is going to swoop in and save the day huh? Seems unlikely to help save the line much less the country...

The whole reason fab glide bombs are effective is the range. Jdam just doesnt have the reach to be used in the same way and russia has an entire air defense network still in place while ukraine does not and any place they land is going to be vulnerable to russian repriasals. If ukraine had these 2 years ago it might have mattered to a point but that point is long passed...

@krunchie101 they have taken loses but its clear they still have the full range of the spectrum available to them but ukraine? pfft. if they were only firing 15 patriot interceptors a day (and they fire 2 at every target) then in 2 years they would have fired 11,000 of them and seeing as only 10,000 have been produced to date and they arent all in ukraine i dont think thats a good sign do you? especially since we're almost halfway into the 3rd year.

@krunchie101 thats true but the other systems arent in much better states. they are either too new or just werent produced in any kinds of mass numbers to really make up the difference. the west never really spent heavy on spaags either so ukraine has only ever really had gepards from the 1980's and even then not very many of them while russia has pantsir, tungska and a whole catalogue of different options.
