  1. Just looked him up. He wasn't taken seriously by other scientists outside of his field of expertise with his unhinged opinions. Making authoritative and sometimes unhinged statements that are outside of your field of expertise (which he obiviously did) is called 'The Nobel Desase'. Into which category he fell into apparently.
