Isn't the Pope the direct representative of god according to church doctrines? Dosen't the Pope talk to your god? So yes, your god told him (the poop) that priests should be celibate. So, it is indeed a god issue.

@TheMorriganAensland I guess that's OK. Catholics think you are on the wrong side of the 'who's right' and 'which religion is true' question. Same as the Evangelicals Same as the Southern Baptists Same as the Penticostals Same as the Mormons Same as the Jehova Witness Same as ... (you fill in the blanks for the thousands of Christians belief systems) that think they are right and you are wrong. Atheism is so much simpler. Which is : We aren't buying what religious nutters are selling. And we are OK with that.
