It was Evangelical Christians and other religious groups, aginst the Catholic Church, who wanted to ban the pill, condoms, ect. that were the driving forces for birth controll and abortion laws throughout the United States, with Roe v Wade as the Crown Jewel of the 15 year struggle for reproductive rights.
