  4.  @jca9417  Third party candidates cant even get in the national election or find it incredibly difficult, in most states due to the restrictions imposed by the two party system. The electorial collage system, the money, the state electorial boards ect, are set up to prevent a viable 3rd party. Ross Peroit who was a Billionaire (in the 1980's mind you) and who self financed his campaign, in 1992, scared the crap out of both republikkkan and Democrat establishment. If he had kept in the race, the chances were extreamly likley he would have won as a 3 party President. Something never done before . So the rules were changed so that wont happen again and no third party or independent, can become a viable threat to the 2 party system.
