Data can be made to suit.There is absolutely no data that says 'immigration is a must to maintain an economy' No only 'industrialists ' push that line to keep wages down The British of course are their own worst enemies.Insulated as we are as an island and reluctant to compete with Europe or even join in with their' arrangements'we plowed our own furrows.Our birthrate was fine as living conditions improved .We were happy enough and were economically self reliant..We were let down by poor leadership .Work relations were poor compared to other Western countries and productivity sufferred as a result.Compared to todays work /play relationship I suspect things were better for all concerned back in the 70s80s90s .
