I think its gone beyond the simple 'ecomics' theory.This is all about replacing the British people with people who have no interest in 'national identity'.That makes 'governing' so much easier..At the moment British people (over a certain age) still have a 'memory' of a Britain they consider worthy of retaining.The younger generation are gradually being 're educated' or reconditioned away from such outdated thoughts of historical' roots tying them to an illusionary sense of history that is only blockking their minds and' holding them back"This is the future for this little bit of land mass.

Food for thought Simon.Your 'point'could be applied to so many topics but the fact is the masses have been 'manipulated' over the past decade or more into 'thinking' in a particular way by the MSM and it has paid off to a very large degree.What cannot be 'manipulated'though is what one can see with ones very own eyes.!Polls have become a very misleading indicator of true 'opinions' and are used in fact to help 'form' opinions and voter intentions.Treat them all with suspician!

Its been in gradual decline the more the welfare state became stronger.People unkowingly became more and more 'dependent' on it as a 'safety net' when things didnt work out as they hoped.A gradual malais took over the unthinking masses whilst millions more grabbed the oppotunities available and became sucessful.The wider the income gap grew the more resentment grew amongst those being left behind A 'victim ' mentality took hold and governments used this section of the populace to pander to and glean their vote.Thus expanded the Welfare handouts.This worked for so long but 'events' took over throwing this policy out.Mass immigration is now being used to try and reverse this trend but its too late.Illegal immigration is working against the very fabric which once held this country together.
