I also had 'experience' of the British' Police force' in the 60s.A simple parking offence required me to appear in person at the Nottingham constablary(where I was first cautioned) to produce my drivng licence(which was endorced!) and fined £5( .Equal to 1/3 of my weekly pay!)I was glad to leave the country shortly after that.!
