Ah Lenny Henry the tool the BBC spent thousands of pounds sending to Africa on a 'jolly' to raise £50 for sinking a pump into the ground for Africans to extract water.25 years ago.How did that work out Lenny? We will never know of course.I notice they still are begging for money via tv adverts for exactly the same thing today.Nice little earner for some methinks.The thousands spent by the BBC on Lenny's jolly could have supplied enough pumps to service hundreds of African villages without sending him there.
