  12.  @lovely-mq4rg  NATO is a voluntary organisation and you must apply to be a member. Only way NATO could cross Russian borders is if Russia applied for membership. Russia is completely safe as long as they stop messing with their neighbors.

Don't leave the heater on at home when you're at work. That kind of stuff. Try to smart, basically. Public buildings will be 19 instead of 21 degrees. It's like NOTHING compared to poor countries.

The russians destroyed their own stuff in 1917, the Chinese destroyed their stuff during the cultural revolution. Taliban destroyed Afghan buddhist heritage, etc. In Britain the treasures are safe.

Democratic ukraine was invaded by authoritarian Russia. Ukraine wants to push back the invader, naturally. So NATO assists them. This is important for all of NATO. It's important to show dictatorships that NATO WILL defend democracy. And later on, also ukraine can join NATO. Do you have any better way of stopping the dictatorships?

  43.  @crude-za  (In Norway, we are oil/gas producing and self-sufficient, and traditionally supply 20% of the European market) But anyway, Europe needs to develop other means of energy, nuclear power, for instance. Even if it is more expensive. We can't rely on Russia. Half of Europe was occupied by Russia 1945-1991. Never again.
