  2. People outside Europe don't know this, but Russian culture is special. It's like with ww2, Shintoism, the Emperor of Japan, how the Japanese viewed and worshipped their own leader and fatherland. So also with Russians. They believe their country and it's leaders are holy, and that they owe their lives to Putin and the "Motherland". If Putin kills or imprisons them, they still think it's the right thing to do, and they worship him for it. It's a masochistic thing. That's why it's dangerous to live close to Russia. How can you protect yourself against soldiers who like to die?

  3.  @Blitzkers99  But unfortunately the USSR period ruined all of that. If you grew up in East Germany, Baltics, Czechoslovakia, etc., you'd understand.
