I don't think it's shut off because of technical problems, like Russia says. And Russia never lies (😅). Anyway, as a European, I think this is useful. Because Europe needs to stop their dependency on Russia. And the big fear was that Europe and NATO would simply forget about the war and let Russia do their own thing. Now Putin has made that impossible. Most of NATO will be reminded of Russian aggression every day. Hopefully my own country will even join the EU.
Let's say these big economies, the West, China, India, etc. suffer. Stock markets crash, unemployment, poverty. Lots of deaths around the world. The poor get poorer the rich get richer, lots of people die in war or starvation. Let's say some towns in Eastern Ukraine are in Russian control.
IF you then after some years ask a mother in some poor Siberian village, who maybe lost a son or two in Ukraine, "Was it all worth it?" What would she say?
I fail to see how Putin's attack will benefit anyone at all.
