  2. If you actually look at the polls, most of them show Biden beating Trump by a larger margin than Bernie does. The difference is only about 1 point, but it's still there. The only exception is that Emerson poll from a month ago, which shows Biden losing and Bernie barely winning. But that poll was absolute trash. It had a a sample where Republicans outnumbered Democrats by a wide margin, and the majority of respondents said they had voted for Trump in 2016. In other words, the opposite of the actual composition of the electorate. So if you believe the polls, they currently don't support the premise that Bernie is the stronger candidate. That said, the value of these polls is limited anyway, even if they're 100% accurate. Polls can only predict how people would vote if the election were held right now. They can't predict anything about the ways Biden might fuck up between now and November.
