@SaraphDarklaw Dore's brain completely broke when Bernie lost the 2016 primary. He'd convinced himself that because Bernie would've been good for America, that made it inevitable that he'd win. And when that didn't happen (let's face it, the most predictable outcome ever), Dimmy Jore went off the deep, claiming that Bernie had been cheated and that it would be better to elect Trump. (How'd that work out? Turns out pretty well for Dimmy, since he's making money off the Trumptard audience he picked up.) And he's just gotten crazier and crazier ever since.

Don't forget that the producer for Jimmy's videos was and still is his wife. The anonymous "producer" that he "fired" over the fake antivaxer graphic was his imaginary friend.

On the plus side, Omicron might also be less dangerous. It was always a possibility that a mutation would produce a variant that spreads more easily (thus outcompeting other variants) yet causes less severe illness. That's what happened to the Spanish flu a century ago. We didn't have flu vaccines back then (they were still decades away). The Spanish flu was H1N1, which never actually went away. We just lucked out and it mutated into something less dangerous. Omicron being like that for COVID is something we can't even say is likely yet, let alone certain. Omicron is too new, the sample size is too small, and has so far skewed young (the people with the lowest chance of severe COVID in the first place) for them to even do meaningful research yet on whether it's less likely to cause death or organ damage. We can just hope it turns out that way, because with all the anti-vaxxers guaranteeing continued spread, a lucky mutation is our only way out of this pandemic.

@Carson Ogenic Yes, Jimmy Dore gets lots of views because it turns out complete bullshit is popular among right-wingers. And right-wingers are the overwhelming majority of Dore's audience.

He had some reasonable views, but was never really a reasonable person. But now he's discarded all reasonable views in favor of going all-in on the crazy, because his audience of Trumpers, anti-vaxxers and assorted kooks don't want to hear anything reasonable.
