@iROChakri That's as far from reality as it gets. Russia was never "defending itself" by attacking Ukraine. It's none of Russia's business whether Ukraine joins NATO.
26
@ПавелИванов-б5б2я That's completely meaningless. The "command consoles" in Moscow were not in fact necessary for Ukraine to operate those nuclear weapons in their possession. It's not as if would've been beyond Ukraine's ability to "unlock" those nukes and make them usable without Moscow. And no, the declaration of independence of Ukraine did not have any guarantees of neutrality. That's another ridiculous Russian lie, just like the constant claims that NATO "promised" not to "expand" eastward.
16
@notforrestbono3100 Yes, Ukraine is innocent in this war. Russia is entirely at fault.
15
@prominentmagpie7153 That's the literal opposite of reality. Russia has never kept their word, and the claim that Ukraine threatened Russia is flat-out comical.
8
@goldenfiberwheat238 Finland was far from "happy" under "Finlandization".
6
@ПавелИванов-б5б2я The Orange Revolution was a direct response to Russian interference in Ukraine! And again, it's none of Putin's business whether Ukraine wanted to join NATO. Though in 2014, Ukraine actually remained strongly opposed to NATO membership. And Putin just made up the "information" about America wanting to "place their base" in Crimea.
4
@josephtheoracle3344 There was never anything "defensive" about this war. This is about Russian expansionism.
3
@goldenfiberwheat238 Only because the USSR collapsed, and thus Finland was able to finally become a genuinely independent nation.
2
@brianchu3317 The perception was that Nazi Germany was in a superior military situation in 1938. The realty was quite different. Germany was actually even less ready for war than Britain and France in 1938. Allowing Germany to absorb Czechoslovakia made them much stronger in 1939 when the war actually broke out. If Britain and France had gone to war a year earlier, Germany would've been defeated by 1940 at the latest.
2
@bamaramify Giving Ukraine over to the genocidal invader is not "peace". Just like giving Czechoslovakia to Hitler in 1938 did not bring any peace.
2
@JoshuaDepaz-gl7ge He won't make America great again either, he'll destroy America again. Just like he did 4 years ago, but 74 million morons have amnesia about that.
1
@Red-Check-Mark No, it's really not their business. Maybe Russia should try peaceful coexistence for the first time in their entire history as a nation, instead of demanding that all their neighbors submit to domination by them.
1
@adityaajmera1963 Russia's claim to be the successor of the Soviet Union is completely fraudulent. Also, the US already has placed nuclear weapons in Turkey. If the US were to abandon those nukes (or if, as in the case of the USSR, the US were to cease to exist as a country), those nukes would indeed become Turkey's property.
1
This entire video gave the Trump narrative about why he and his minions think American support for Ukraine is bad, without ever mentioning that the narrative is all lies. The claim that the US military is running low on ammunition is complete bullshit, for example.
1
@fivida Russia is not a global superpower, and shouldn't be treated like one.
1
@fivida It absolutely isn't. The only nation other than the United States that's even close to a global superpower would be China. Inheriting the USSR's nukes is not enough to make Russia a superpower.
1
@josephtheoracle3344 It's still 100% appeasement to give over Ukrainian land, and (as frequently seems to get glossed over) the Ukrainian people living on that land, over to Russian rule and Russian genocide. It's appeasement because it's the same "peace no matter the cost" mentality that led to appeasement of Germany in 1938. And it wouldn't actually result in peace. Because any halt to the fighting would be purely temporary. If this "deal" is actually agreed to, in a few years Russia will just invade Ukraine again and demand even more territory be conceded to them in the name of "peace".
1
Implying that Dementia Donald actually knows what he's going to do.
1
Why are you pro-Trump, then? If you think Trump is actually "America First" or that he's going to make prices go down, you're sorely mistaken.
1
@bloodmagiclord8253 There never was a "civil war", there is no "cult of Bandera", and you are ignoring the centuries of Russian oppression and periodic genocide against the Ukrainian people.
1
@user-tf4ho2uo1e Biden is the one who destroyed it, idiot.
1
@da7433 It's Russia that broke all of the agreements, not Ukraine.
1
@festekj Russia's claim to be the successor state of the Soviet Union is fraudulent.
1
@Kevriyal5654 No, that simply did not actually happen. Ukraine was shelling Russian invaders in Donbas.
1
@dragondeeezballsonyomouth You mean just like how Britain only planned on giving the Sudetenland to Germany, not all of Czechoslovakia? Oh, but shock of shocks, Germany marched in and took the rest of Czechoslovakia right afterward.
1
@nextentrepreneur9288 What you're failing to account for is that Trump seeks to dismantle NATO as well, and hand over the rest of Europe to Russian domination. The fight will be coming to the rest of Europe one way or the other.
1
@moiseshuerta3984 Nukes don't matter.
1
Yeah, this video lays out the Trump narrative for why they oppose continuing to aid Ukraine, but fails to ever point out that the narrative is built entirely on lies.
1
@Mickeymoon-j2x "The independent republics" never actually existed. Those were just Russian front groups. And no, the Ukrainian state never discriminated against Russian speaking regions.
1
@chrisb3189 Based on what? Overtly fraudulent Russian "referendums"?
1
@tetraxis3011 Literally none of what you say is true. You are just regurgitating obvious nonsense Russian propaganda.
1
@thevictoryoverhimself7298 Surrender does not result in peace when the goal of the side you're surrendering to is genocide. And that's exactly what Russia's goal in Ukraine is.
1
@AlxzAlec Trump has never been a respected negotiator, and Ukraine is 100% in the right. It's Russia that's 100% in the wrong.
1
@mabeSc No, he absolutely is not right. Ukraine has zero interest in "remaining neutral", because they've already been shown that "remaining neutral" is what allowed Russia to invade them in the first place.
1
@bestmind-tm2me That's obviously untrue. Russia will never give Ukraine's land back unless they're forced to do so.
1
@Arjun-ub5bh NATO is already "putting weapons in Ukraine", and you are insane if you think Ukraine will accept a "peace deal" in which there's absolutely nothing preventing Russia from just invading them again in a few years to take the rest of their territory and kill the rest of their people.
1
@theycallmeGUN Why are you so insistent on pretending that Russia is invincible?
1
@Nanipuchi13189 There are no good Russian people. Russians are the authoritarians.
1
@mabeSc Yes, in fact it is Ukraine's neutrality that made this entire war possible. A neutral nation is a nation that can be invaded without consequence, as Russia demonstrated in 2014 by invading Ukraine and seizing Crimea from them. It was only after Crimea was seized that Ukraine sought NATO membership. And Ukraine's political alignment is none of Russia's business. Why is it so hard for Russia to accept that Ukraine is not part of Russia?
1
@mabeSc Your "disagreement" is based on false premises. Ukraine was not "in the process of scrapping their neutral and non-aligned position and policies in favour of NATO" when Russia invaded. Russia invaded first, and only afterward did Ukraine start seeking NATO membership. Because Russia had just demonstrated that NATO membership is the only way to be safe from getting invaded by Russia. Ukraine absolutely was neutral in 2014, when Russia first invaded them. Russia's "interests" in Ukraine are not reasonable at all. Russia claims this is about "national security", but it's actually just about Russia wanting to dominate Ukraine and loot its resources. Russia thinks it's entitled to control Ukraine. Simple as that. Yes, I would be saying the same if Canada was to join CSTO. (Not that such a thing would ever happen.) And all of the comparisons people make between Russia's invasion of Ukraine and the Cuban missile crisis are completely asinine. Nobody was even contemplating putting nuclear missiles in Ukraine. And after the Cuban missile crisis, Cuba continued to be a close ally of the USSR, including there being Soviet military bases in Cuba. If the US had invaded Cuba, bombarded Havana, and annexed Cienfuegos, then the Cuban missile crisis would've been something similar to what Russia has done in Ukraine. But the US did none of those things.
1
@bamaramify You are everything wrong with the world, and yes your life is worth less.
1
@TheTenzen12 What are you talking about? Trump's "plan" is exactly to the "contested territory" to Russia, not for them to withdraw from any of it. It's nothing but appeasement of Russia, and Russia does get damn near everything they want under Trump's plan.
1
@mattboyer3385 You're forgetting, Russia is going to see Trump handing Ukraine to them as proof that NATO is a paper tiger. Putin will figure that the US will refuse to honor Article 5 if he invades the Baltic States. And with Trump in the White House, he'll probably be correct to figure that. At which point NATO would effectively ceased to exist.
1
@basilmagnanimous7011 Russia is very much the enemy. Russia is not part of Europe, Russia is the very threat that Europe "has to be one military camp" to defend against. The idea that Russia could ever be an ally of Europe was a delusion.
1
@maxk3871 No, American boots most certainly are not on the ground in Ukraine.
1
@chrisb3189 Wow, a literal Hitler apologist. That's the blatant lie that Hitler told to justify annexation.
1
@maxk3871 So your source is "trust me bro".
1
@masfiqratul7559 Okinawa is still part of Japan and Saarland is still part of Germany.
1
@bamaramify You are the actual war hawk. You're demanding that Russia be given total victory, and you damned well know this will result in Russia launching more wars because they know they'll be rewarded for doing so.
1
@bamaramify Your bullshit about "paying the minimum" is a lie.
1
@ytrewq-c2p Only Russia and no one else broke the Budapest Memorandum, liar.
