  1. It was the British government who asked the US to start this coup. They did so because the Anglo-Iranian Oil Company was going to lose a lot of money when Mossadegh nationalized Iran's oil resources. One year later, the Anglo-Iranian Oil Company changed its name to British Petroleum. That's right, the Gulf oil spill was just the latest example. BP has been screwing us over for 60 years.
