  1. When the federal law is constitutional, yes. But state bans on gay marriage already violate the 14th Amendment, and states that refuse to recognize out-of-state gay marriages already violate the Full Faith and Credit Clause. That's the way we have to demolish the wingnut states' bans on gay marriage.

  2. State gay marriage bans can't be stopped with federal laws. It's the US Constitution that has to be used to strike those state laws down.
