  1. John, the reason Trump is fundraising from Wall Street and other big donors is that he cannot afford to fund his own campaign. He needs a billion dollars or more to run a general election campaign. He can't afford to use a billion dollars of his own money. Even if he really is as rich as he claims to be (spoiler alert: he's not), the vast majority of Trump's net worth is in the form of assets other than cash.
