@AroundSun A city-state subsidized for over a century by a larger nation is hardly a good example. And the US did not utilize the Austrian system from 1870-1913. Nor is the Gilded Age something that rational people want to return to.

@AroundSun 1. Trying to re-brand your anti-intellectual Austrian school into "free-market" isn't going to help. 2. The debate about global warming is over because the data is clear. But just like with Austrian economics, global warming deniers reject things like facts and data, and instead want to have an intellectually dishonest "debate" in the hopes of fooling, or at least confusing, the general public.

@AroundSun Keynesian fiscal and monetary policies rid us of the constant boom-bust cycle...which shockingly enough came back with a vengeance over the last 30 years when anti-Keynesian Reaganomics took over.

@AroundSun This shows why Austrian school adherents are opposed to subjecting their beliefs to any standards of academic rigor: you have to ignore the data to believe in Austrian economics. The data shows that tax cuts are the LEAST effective tool available for increasing economic activity. Government spending is far more effective, and most certainly does not raise prices. And LACK of regulation is what led us to the current mess. What you claim are "verifiable facts" are all lies.
