  1. Steve, you seem to be misunderstanding something. There is no permit for owning a gun in Florida. There never has been. The same is true in most states. The permit is required for carrying a gun in public.

  4. It's a SURE SHOT No, the rancher's family has most certainly not been there for longer than Nevada has been a state. The Bundy family says it's been using that land since 1880. But Nevada became a state in 1864, and the land in question has been federally owned since 1848. And since it is federal land, by definition it's not a state issue. Nor is the vastness of the land the issue. The issue is that Bundy is breaking the law by refusing to pay grazing fees.
