  1. Earth never came out of the "Little Ice Age" because Earth never went into the "Little Ice Age". The North Atlantic region went into and came out of the "Little Ice Age". Just because Western Europe and the Eastern US are located in the North Atlantic region doesn't mean the North Atlantic is the entire planet. Why is it that you science deniers can never understand the difference between region and global?

We are not nearing a glaciation period (as shown by glaciers melting around the world). And the "ancient averages" you refer to when Earth was significantly hotter than it is now? Those were from periods in which humans would not have been able to survive. It's been millions of years since Earth was that hot.

  21. The think about water vapor, though, is that it doesn't accumulate for very long in the atmosphere. It's heavier than CO2, and before long it always falls back down to Earth as rain, snow, and hail. Thus, the amount of H2O in the atmosphere remains about the same, while CO2 accumulates over long periods. It doesn't fall back down to the ground the way H2O does. Thus, when we pump large amounts of it out by burning fossil fuels, we cause a long-term increase in the greenhouse effect.

  26. No, nutcase, for the last 200 years global CO2 levels have never been below two HUNDRED parts per million. And now they're almost FOUR HUNDRED ppm. The last time CO2 levels were this high was over 15 million years ago. Also, the Permian extinction wasn't caused by a drop in CO2. It was most likely caused by a massive RISE in CO2. At the time of the Permian mass extinction, CO2 had spiked to 1500 parts per million.
