It seems to me that, even if there are aliens out there whose civilizations are far more advanced than ours and with technology to make interstellar travel practical, there's no logical reason to think they would use that technology to come HERE. Our solar system seems to be a rather ordinary one, so even if these hypothetical aliens had faster-than-light travel, what reason would they have to pick Earth out of all the possible destinations?

  2. It's extremely unlikely that Earth is the only planet anywhere in the universe that has life. But it's even less likely that any of those aliens have visited Earth.
