  1. BTW, about people on the "terrorist watch list" being able to buy guns? Given that the watch list has been repeatedly proved to be inaccurate, filled with lots of people who just happen to have a similar name to a known terrorist, using it to deny people the right to buy a gun without any due process at all strikes me as a ridiculously stupid idea.

  2. AR-15s were still sold during the assault weapon ban, Cenk. They were just very slightly altered. If the shooter had bought an AR-15 during the assault weapon ban, it would have...lacked a bayonet lug and a flash hider. I'm fairly certain that neither of those features were used in the Aurora shooting. And the ban on "high capacity magazines" only covered sale of NEW PRODUCTION magazines, not the millions of already existing ones. Oh and Cenk, the murder rate in America is steadily going DOWN.
