Independents who support Sanders are overwhelmingly going to be liberal and clearly aren't going to be interested in voting in a Republican primary. So they should've registered as Democrats whenever they originally registered to vote, in order to take advantage of any opportunities that arise to push the party to the left. Especially since presidential primaries aren't the only primaries that exist. New York has closed primaries for all elections, and the state senate in particular desperately needs a push to the left.

  3. +aprilkittysan That's a non-sequitur. Do party primaries in Canada allow people who aren't members of the parties to vote? Do Tories get to vote in the Liberal Party primary, and vice versa?

  4. Chad, Don Sanders won Wyoming by 11%. Clinton won New York by 16%. That's a pretty substantial difference in the margin. And the reason Wyoming ended up as a tie is that it barely has any delegates.
