During this time, Russia carried out some horrific massacres of the Polish people. Russia also took this opportunity to invade Latvia, Lithuania, and Estonia. Looking at that history, maybe you can now understand why Russia's neighbors are worried about getting invaded again, and wanted to join NATO for protection against Russian aggression. And good news Russia: all they have to do to avoid any trouble with NATO is to simply not invade anybody.

Kim Jong-un is the Donald Trump of North Korea. They're both pathological liars. Also, calling the training exercises "war games" and claiming that they "antagonize" North Korea is straight out of North Korean propaganda. It is not in fact a reasonable demand on North Korea's part. The reason those exercises happen is because of the threat that North Korea will invade South Korea. They've done it before, after all.

The "broken agreements" you refer to are ones that don't actually exist outside of Russian government propaganda. And Ukraine is not a "Russian interest", it's a sovereign independent nation.

Or at least were before the Russian invasion. And Ukraine did not "sign" any such referendum, whatever that's supposed to mean. The sham referendums conduced by the self-proclaimed "people's republics" did not have anywhere near the entirety of Donetsk and Luhansk voting in them.

It's that the rebels conducted the referendums only in the parts of Donetsk and Luhansk that were under their direct control. Meaning only about half of the two oblasts. It wasn't anything even resembling a free and fair election. Those who opposed secession didn't have a vote. It would be like if a secession vote were held in Texas that didn't allow the people in Dallas, Houston, and El Paso to vote.

  38.  @adrianlouw2499  That announcement wasn't about the Minsk Agreement, it was about Ukraine terminating the "Treaty on Friendship, Cooperation, and Partnership between Ukraine and the Russian Federation". A treaty that was already defunct since 2014, seeing as it obliged Russia and Ukraine to never invade each other or undermine each other's territorial integrity. Which is precisely what Russia did to Ukraine in 2014 by invading and annexing Crimea.
