  1. This has no resemblance whatsoever to the Cuban missile crisis. Nobody was putting nuclear missiles in Ukraine. And the United States did not invade Cuba.

  4. @ The Soviets still did have a base on Cuba for the entirety of the Cold War. The Cienfuegos naval base hosted Russian submarines on a regular basis, including nuclear missile subs.
