@billbrockman779 Yes, there was a USS Miller (FF-1091) named for him. Naming one of the many Burkes after him would've been appropriate. I agree that US should've stuck to the old naming schemes of naming destroyers and frigates after war heroes and carriers all reusing the names of great ships of the past.

@karlvongazenberg8398 Given that the old traditional naming schemes are no longer in use, it's certainly better than yet another CV being named after a modern-era President (a trend that I truly despise).
